Lunch in the courtyard, cooked from this morning's market
A family restaurant ten minutes from Girona, where the menu follows the season and the table is yours for the afternoon.
Why people come back
Three things we have never changed

The courtyard
From May to October we lay the tables under the plane tree behind the house. Lunch here starts at one and, if you let it, ends with a coffee at five.

The market
Every Tuesday and Saturday Jordi drives to the Girona market before seven. What he brings back decides the blackboard: artichokes in March, peas in May, wild mushrooms after the first autumn rain.

The family
Our parents Josep and Rosa opened Casa Martí in 1987. Today their children run the kitchen and the dining room, and Rosa still makes the crema catalana on Sundays.

What people tell us on the way out
We came for a Sunday lunch and stayed until the light went. The canelons were exactly like my grandmother's, and nobody hurried us once.
Núria PuigGirona We found Casa Martí on a cycling holiday and have booked the courtyard every September since. Ask for whatever Jordi brought back from the market.
Tom and Helen AshbyBristol They made a whole menu without gluten for my daughter's birthday without any fuss. Twenty of us at the long table, and every plate came out together.
