Since 1987
A village house that became a restaurant
Josep and Rosa Martí opened Casa Martí in 1987 in the ground floor of the house where Josep was born, with six tables and a menu written on a blackboard. Rosa cooked what her mother had cooked, Josep served, and the neighbours came for Sunday lunch. Thirty-nine years later the blackboard is still there and so are some of the neighbours. We, their children, have kept the courtyard, the canelons and the habit of driving to the market twice a week, and added a bread oven and a longer wine list.

Who will look after you

Laia Martí
Head cook
Trained in Girona and in Lyon, came home in 2009 and took over the stoves from her mother. She still asks Rosa before she changes a recipe.

Pau Martí
Bread and pastry
The youngest of the three. He lit the wood oven in 2018 and bakes every loaf we serve, and the coca on Sundays.

Jordi Martí
Dining room and wine
Runs the room the way his father did, knows most guests by name, goes to the market every Tuesday and Saturday and chooses the wines.
